Ravenswood is located in one of New Zealand’s fastest growing districts (Waimakariri District) with a population of over 69,000 people.  An estimated 8,000 people reside in the direct catchment area.

Ravenswood sits on a high profile location just north of Woodend, 25km north of Christchurch and adjacent to SH1. There are already 18,000 vehicles per day passing the commercial precinct and there are expected to be up to 28,000 vehicle movements within the next 10 years. 

Ravenswood is a fully masterplanned community of over 1,500 residential sections and 20ha of commercial land comprising a mix of commercial, retail and light industrial lots.

McDonald’s, BP and New World, Gull service station are all open.  Harvey Norman is also joining the commercial area. These five large businesses are draw cards for local residents. A childcare centre, Ravenswood Stars Nursery and Preschool, is also operating.

The commercial project is fully consented and construction of the town centre is now underway. The Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) is funding the project.

Ravenswood Central represents a link between the three townships of the Waimakariri District; Rangiora, Woodend and Kaiapoi. Our logo symbolises this along with a nod to the rural landscape, ocean, Taranaki Stream and the snow-capped mountains which surround the area.
